| NAME: Janey Von Lucky EDU INFO: University Senior, History Major: Mid-20th century (OTHER) HOBBIES: furniture and bicycle restoration, antiquing COLLECTIONS: pin-ups, Converse, James Dean, 1964 presidential race memorabilia, Vietnam anti-war buttons, fedoras, old cameras, Pan Am Many say I was born in the wrong era, which is true, but if asked if I wanted to go back in time, I would say no. It's better to create an ideal, rather than face the hard truth. I think WWII is where the original and classic pin-up flourished. The pin-up of that era was the girl next door, the girl you were "fighting for". I really try to reach for that pin-up. You show just enough to make them curious and longing for more. |
